Benkert (toe) has received clearance to resume participating in football drills, Kelsey Kramer of reports.

Analysis: Benkert missed the entire 2019 regular season after sustaining a significant toe injury during the Falcons' preseason opener against Denver, during which he put together a solid performance in completing 19 of 34 passes for 185 yards and a score. General manager Thomas Dimitroff said earlier in the offseason that he expects Benkert to compete with Matt Schaub and Danny Etling for the backup quarterback job in 2020, though the possibility of Atlanta drafting additional competition also can't be ruled out.

Thielen was disappointed when he found out the Vikings were trading Stefon Diggs to the Bills, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Analysis: Thielen said he and Diggs became close friends while playing on the same team for the past five years. On the bright side, Thielen should see plenty of targets in his age-30 season ahead, as the Vikings are left with a weak WR depth chart behind him -- Tajae Sharpe, Bisi Johnson and Chad Beebe (ankle) being the top candidates to earn snaps. The upcoming draft likely will bring some form of competition, but there's no question about Thielen serving as the go-to receiver under new offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak. The veteran wideout rebounded from an injury-plagued 2019 campaign with a solid showing during the playoffs, bringing in 12 of 16 targets for 179 yards in two games.

Rams GM Les Snead envisions Henderson (ankle) operating as part of a multi-player backfield, Greg Beacham of The Associated Press reports. "What we want to be is a team that utilizes more than just one workhorse running the ball," Snead said. "We have this big-picture vision, Darrell (Henderson) being a part of it, but we do expect other pieces to be a big part of it as well."

Analysis: The Rams leaned on Todd Gurley as a three-down workhorse for the better part of the past three seasons, including in 2019 when his production drastically declined. With Gurley released last month and now signed by Atlanta, the Rams are preparing for a new reality in the backfield, where Henderson and Malcolm Brown currently stand as the top options. Brown has more experience in Sean McVay's system and was a bit more efficient with his opportunities last season, but he doesn't offer much in terms of speed or pass-catching skill -- areas where Henderson theoretically could thrive. In any case, the 2019 third-round pick is working his way back from December ankle surgery, waiting on the upcoming draft to see if the Rams add tougher competition for carries.

Cole has signed his restricted free agent tender with the Texans, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Analysis: Cole was extended a one-year, $2.1 million contact tender by the Texans prior to free agency. He logged 16 tackles (13 solo), one pass defensed and one fumble recovery across 11 games last season before suffering a torn ACL. It is unclear when he will be able to return to the field, but he is expected to return to his usual rotational role at linebacker.

Biegel (elbow) has officially signed his restricted free agent tender with the Dolphins.

Analysis: Following a career year, Biegel and the Dolphins were unable to come to terms on a long-term deal. As a result, they tendered him as a restricted free agent. The 26-year-old will now look to build on his 59 tackles (27 solo), 2.5 sacks and one interception from last season. If he does so, that long-term contract could certainly be in play next offseason.
